Chick-Fil-A To Open In New York, Displaced Southerners Rejoice

Be prepared to get your “Icedream” on… lol

Start spreading the news, the magic of everyone’s favorite Southern sandwich is coming to New York. The Atlanta-based restaurant will open a three-story, 5,000-square foot restaurant at 1000 Sixth Avenue this summer (see Crain’s New York Business).

And we are here to tell you, there are some seriously excited New Yorkers.

Though there is a small Chick-Fil-A outpost at NYU, until now, New Yorkers haven’t had mass access to such Southern treasures as the chicken biscuit and spicy chicken sandwich, and of course, the legendary waffle fries. Oh, the waffle fries. Let’s also not forget the lemonade and specialty milkshakes.
